I've been so busy lately. If you know me, you know I work in the school system as a speech therapist. I'm taking two night classes (Mondays and Wednesdays) working on my Master's Degree. By the time Thursday rolls around, it feels like it should be Friday. Andy has been in Houston for the last ten days. He accepted a job with Bass Pro and until the store in Denham Springs opens (which will be in February) he will mostly travel. So for the last ten days I've basically been a single parent! Thank goodness for my parents and my brother. They are a lot of help on those days I have classes. I don't even have time to pick the kids up from daycare before I head to Baton Rouge for class.
I've had lots on my mind lately...mostly about some of the types of people I come into contact with. There are those whose lives are so miserable that they feel better by spreading as many nasty rumors as they can. For example, because Andy went out two weekends without me (with my brother!!!), he and I are having trouble in our marriage. Isn't that so ridiculous? It's exactly the opposite. Andy and I are doing fine! The thing about this type of person though is you expect it from them. It's just how they are...and pretty much everybody knows it. What's worse than this is the person who is so good at being deceptive that they really seem genuine. When you learn that someone you thought was a friend is really this type of person, it's sad. It makes you want to start questionning a lot of your friendships, but you can't do that. Not all in this world is evil.
Well, this weekend I plan to catch up on my This is me journal pages. Andy will be home tomorrow evening. He's excited about seeing the children and me. This is the longest he's ever been away from any of us!
