I started to title this blog "Amelia has a party," but I'm not sure what we had was as much a party as it was a celebration. Sometimes I feel like a bad mom because I haven't gone all out for the kids' last birthdays, but then I talk myself out of it. My kids have pretty much got it made! So though we didn't have a party per se, we definitely celebrated Amelia!
As far as Amelia knew, the only place we were going was Chuck E. Cheese, and she was perfectly ok with that. Our crew consisited of Amelia, Lilly, Meredith, Marie, Maw Maw Colleen, Maw Maw Janice and Silas. Yes, poor Silas...the only boy. He was going to spend the day with Paw Paw but decided at the last minute he wanted to go to Chuck E. Cheese.
The kids had a blast! I could barely get pictures of them because they were moving so fast from one thing to another! I think Amelia's favorite part would have to be that Chuck E. Cheese brought her cake out to her.
When we left Chuck E. Cheese, we headed to The Lakehouse in Mandeville. Amelia didn't know it, but she was about to meet the characters from the movie Frozen. And was that ever wild! Girls everywhere! Singing "Let It Go!" Thank goodness I had Marie with us who waited in line so I didn't have to! (Thank you, Marie!!) Of course, Silas hated this part of our "celebration." Meredith tried to act like she didn't care too much, but Amelia and Lilly absolutely loved it! Elsa even sang "Happy Birthday" to Amelia. At the end of the day, she said, "This was the best birthday ever!"
